In 2009, I was contracted by the Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Consortium to create a deliverable manual for those wanting to bring a high school bioscience program to their school. The manual was completed in the spring of 2010. The manual was approved and adopted at the state level by BioOhio and nationally by the Biotechnology Institute. The Biotechnology Institute later used the manual as their example of best practices, delivering a copy to the White House Commission on STEM Education. After the state reformatted the Tech Prep Consortia in 2011, I formed the Southwest Ohio BioScience Education Consortium (SWOBEC).
