Pam Snyder

BioScience Technology Teacher at the Ft. Hayes Career Center and Columbus City Schools (retired)

Pam Snyder is a recently retired teacher from Columbus City Schools with over 35 years of
classroom experience. She served the district in many capacities, including as a mentor teacher in the Peer Assistance and Review (PAR) program. Most recently, she taught a BioScience Technology career-technical program at Ft. Hayes Career Center. A graduate of The Ohio State University with degrees in agriculture, she is a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in Early Adolescence Science. She actively seeks to improve her content knowledge through attendance and leadership in many professional development opportunities. She presents workshops to teachers at the local, regional, state and national levels. Pam is married and the mother of two adult daughters. She lives on the family farm in Ross County where she grew up.

How do you make learning real?

It is so helpful for me to have connections to industry to help me give students real applications for the concepts they are learning. There is no substitute for field trips and guest speakers!
