I am truly in love with the education process. I love seeing students start out not knowing what to expect or even know how to grasp the information being presented to them. Then all of a sudden the light turns on and they become a sponge, soaking up everything the teacher is giving out.
I realized agriculture had amazing value and relevance teaching science when at an assembly with a live chicken. I’m in an urban area where most of my students have never seen a live animal besides a dog or cat. The inquiry from the students was off the charts. At first, none of the students wanted to be near the chicken. After about 20 minutes in to the discussion, student were feeding the bird by hand.
