A chance to try DuckQuest!

I’ve used the ChickQuest materials in my 5th grade science class for 2 years. Last year, I was getting ready to order eggs when a friend called to tell me a nesting mallard duck had just been killed by a hawk. I immediately went over to the site and sadly saw the abandoned nest. Mama Duck left behind 11 eggs. My students were so excited to foster them and incubate the babies. We candled them and watched them grow. The automatic turner came in very handy!

Much to our surprise, the eggs hatched out 2 weeks sooner than expected. We had a healthy hatch of 10 ducks! We were able to modify the ChickQuest materials to meet our duck needs and compare them to chicks. What an amazing experience!
