I act on behalf of the Office of Career-Technical Education by planning, developing, coordinating, and managing technical content standards development, related assessments, and aligning instructional strategies that improve teaching and learning for Ohio’s secondary and adult students. Additionally, I provide professional development support to teacher networks, administrators, superintendents and university personnel. I also assist school districts with program development and improvement through technical assistance and customer service. Lastly, I assist in the developing and managing of career technical student organization programs and activities.
The more in-tune with the industry education can be, the more effectively we can prepare students for life after high school. Our job in secondary education is to set students up for success in the career pathway of their choosing. Industry plays a huge role in that, as our students ultimately end up as their employees.
We can provide assistance with lesson content, understanding course outlines, providing professional development sessions, and technical content information in relation to the agricultural and environmental systems career field.
