Meet the Bean Classroom Kit

These activities are perfect for hands-on class activities and events such as ag days, county fairs, after-school programming or summer camps! We’ve made it super easy for you to get started by gathering all you need in one kit. Your students will enjoy these creative lessons as they learn about soybeans.

• Fun and Games with Soybeans: Germinate a soybean seed necklace or make crafts like a beanie buddy, soybean stress balls, and an Ohio drum.
• Seed Sort: Learn how beans are seeds that grow into plants that produce the beans we eat! Observe differences between seeds and classify them according to similarities. Collect data by counting the seeds, then analyze your data to make a graph.
• Soy Lip Balm and Biodegradable Soy Plastic: 
Your group can learn how to make lip balm 
and plastic using renewable soy rather than petroleum products.
