Teacher leaders gather for networking and collaboration

GrowNextGen teacher leaders met recently for a professional development event in Delaware, Ohio. As past participants in GrowNextGen workshops, these teachers are ambassadors for the program, sharing our resources with colleagues. The PD event provided an opportunity for those present to share ideas and inspire each other.

Jennifer Foudray, Anton Kilburn, and Rachel Sanders from Global Impact STEM Academy in Springfield presented how they have their students do science lab reports, explaining expectations and key points included. Donna Meller shared about the opportunities for science competitions beyond district science fairs.

Teachers brainstormed ways to support one another and build the GrowNextGen network. This event, sponsored by the Ohio Soybean Council, also provided teachers with the opportunity to attend the first day of the Science Education Council of Ohio’s 2018 Symposium.
