What is the benefit of collaboration between industry and education?
The collaboration between industry and education in the field of agriculture is extremely important. Education is what opens the doors of opportunity for so many people who are interested in agriculture, but aren’t quite sure about where to start. Teaching people from different backgrounds about ag is also extremely important, as more and more consumers are further removed from the farm.
What value/assistance can you and your company provide to teachers and classrooms as they connect with you?
I would gladly visit with students and teachers to discuss the opportunities in our field either in-person or remotely as scheduling allows. I can also provide classroom resources, such as presentations and literature.

I am always happy to help… Whether that means teaching younger students about where their food comes from (spoiler alert – it’s not the grocery store) or reviewing resumes for older students. I love talking about our multi-faceted industry, sharing my experiences, and watching others get fired up about agriculture.
