Kaitlyn knows a lot about: breeders, cattle, dairy farms, food safety, beef

I plan and execute high impact, interactive educational events that are focused on company goals & results. I’m an active and engaged member of the education team to deliver a flawless experience to our brand partners.

I’d be happy to assist teachers by providing background information for lesson content, visiting a classroom, and suggesting possible field trips.

What is the benefit of collaboration between industry and education?

Understanding. There is a communication gap between farmers and consumers about how our food is grown and raised. Bridging that gap is crucial to continue producing a safe and abundant food supply in the United States. Did you know that everything farmers do is for specific scientific, safety and economic reasons? These are the kind of things consumers need to hear from a creditable source—the farmers and ranchers.

What do teachers and students need to know about your industry?

According to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, 91% of beef farms nationwide are family-owned or individually-operated. Daily tasks and important business decisions are made as a family because these people care about their cattle and producing the highest quality product possible. They are leaving a legacy for their future generations while producing a quality product that supports their family. I love what I do on a daily basis because of this—the people. The caring people.. and the safe, high quality beef!
