Sparking interest and ideas within my students. I enjoy working with such a culturally diverse group of learners to help build a better world for the future.

What was your “aha” moment when you realized the value of using agriculture as a vehicle to teach science?

In several past teaching experiences, it was always had a fun day during the school year when a student had an opportunity to bring in food. It was great to see how excited the students were to share, even if it was something simple. Food brought them all together, although many didn’t know much of where it came from.
