Class “trip” expands food science knowledge

GNG teacher leader Shelby Guthrie’s students participated in the recent virtual field trip to T. Marzetti. The students in her food science class enjoyed the presentation:

“It was wonderful to see the applications you learn in class in action.”

“I didn’t know how much science went into creating the sauces and dressings that I use on a daily basis.”

“When creating new recipes and types of dips, it is amazing how many things we use in a fridge are quality tested for the consumer.”
