Students from around the state gathered with educators and experts recently at the Ohio Youth Institute, held at The Ohio State University. Participants researched critical world issues and ways to end hunger and poverty and improve food security around the world. They presented their ideas in a short speech and written paper.
Several GrowNextGen teacher leaders brought their students to this event. “It was a great day to discuss how to feed the world!” Global Impact STEM Academy teacher Olivia Pflaumer said.
Students who participate in the Ohio Youth Institute earn recognition as a Borlaug Scholar, and qualify for internships and further opportunities. Check out this opportunity for your students!
