What about teaching excites you?
Connections with people and within subject matter that lead to real world applications are the most exciting part of my job.
What was your “aha” moment when you realized the value of using agriculture as a vehicle to teach science?
I see this when teaching biotechnology units, when students are able to do genetic engineering and then explore the uses and benefits in their daily lives. Also, anytime I get to use food as a bridge to connect information.
