What is the benefit of collaboration between industry and education?
Collaboration between industry and education is huge! Without the connection between industry and education, teachers and students cannot be sure of what will be expected of them when entering the workforce. By bridging the gap between education and industry, GrowNextGen allows students to be confident entering a career in agriculture and STEM.
What value/assistance can you and your company provide to teachers and classrooms as they connect with you?
I would be happy to speak to a class (virtually or in-person), provide resources to teachers and students, help with field trips, and make connections to other people in the industry.
Why should teachers connect with you through GrowNextGen?
Although GrowNextGen primarily educates students and teachers about STEM in agriculture, there are so many career options in agriculture beyond STEM! Ultimately, agriculture is a business and it has the same needs as any other industry: production, research and development, marketing and sales, etc. While I may not know a lot about agricultural engineering or plant pathology, I do know about communicating to farmers and consumers, an incredibly important component in the business of agriculture.
