Merritt works with the farmer members of the board and staff team to help Ohio soybean farmers be more profitable. At the Ohio Soybean Council, we support innovative research, build demand for soybeans and soybean products, and increase awareness of soybeans and modern farming. Through the Ohio Soybean Association we serve Ohio farmers by advocating for sound policies at the state and federal level.

Ohio citizens and consumers (including students and teachers) benefit from understanding food production in Ohio. The Ohio Soybean Council understands the value of investing in tomorrow’s citizens and workforce by providing high-quality, relevant curriculum and resources to Ohio teachers!

What value/assistance can you and your company provide to teachers?
GrowNextGen provides high-quality curriculum, e-learning, career videos and connections with industry leaders and trained teachers. Ohio farmers contribute a portion of their revenue to provide resources for teachers and dollars for soybean research. GrowNextGen.org is a great place to start to learn about how modern agriculture connects to education.
