We have never bean soy excited before!

Elementary schools around Ohio are learning about soybeans through fun, fast-paced interactive assemblies. The Ohio Soybean Council is sponsoring these school presentations designed to educate children about agriculture in general and soybeans in particular, as they are an important crop in Ohio.

Seven elementary schools will experience this free presentation this school year, thanks to the Ohio soybean farmers. Fusion Marketing rolled out these productions at the Ohio State Fair this summer on Soybean Day. Students learn about arable land, uses of soybeans, transportation of soybeans, and soybean products, all in a lively, fun format with games and music.

One assembly, held at Adena Elementary, reached 600 students in grades K through 8. OSC Director of Research and Education Tom Fontana said the goal of the presentations is to increase students’ knowledge of soy.
