ChickQuest in Wellington, OH!

ChickQuest workshops in 2019 wrapped up with an event in Wellington, OH in December. 24 teachers were trained in lively, hands-on STEM science lessons and how to hatch chicks in the classroom, the perfect way to cover the state standards on teaching life cycles.

The Wellington workshop was arranged with the assistance of the Lorain County Extension Office and allowed teachers in the northern part of the state to attend. We met in the visitor center at Wellington Reservoir, one of the most lovely workshop locations we’ve ever had! The attendees were excited to experience the training and receive over $300 worth of supplies to do the lessons with their students.

There will be two more ChickQuest workshops held this school, a February one in Columbus and a March one in Akron, but both of these workshops are full. Watch our newsletter and website for information about next year’s opportunities!
