Dayton STEM Design Challenge

GrowNextGen visited the Dayton Regional STEM School to see the students’ projects for the Ohio STEM Learning Network’s 2019 Design Challenge. This year’s challenge is to work as a team to imagine, design and prototype a solution to increase food security in your life, community, or world.

The students presented solutions such as TVP (texturized vegetable protein-soy) to increase protein intake, pop-up food banks, and food-label education. It was great to see such interesting ideas and friendly, engaging students.

Projects by students from all over the state will be on display at the Battelle Student Showcase on May 8.
