8 groups involved in a BIG scavenger hunt

Farm Science Review is an annual Ohio event that attracts more than 140,000 visitors from all over the United States and Canada. The latest agricultural equipment, technology and production developments are on display, along with educational programs by Ohio State and Purdue specialists. GrowNextGen and the Ohio Soybean Council sponsored field trips for 8 high school classes to FSR. Participating schools included:

  • Arcadia High School
  • Fort Jennings High School
  • Global Impact STEM Academy
  • Grant Career Center
  • Pettisville High School
  • Russia High School

The students came from around the state and participated in a scavenger hunt designed to highlight various areas. They visited college ag program displays, looked at farm equipment and test plots, talked with seed companies and regulatory agency representatives. At each spot, students gathered information and did what kids do so well—took photos with their phones—to indicate their progress through the hunt.
