How might soymilk, and other types of milk, help ensure food security?

This lesson was previewed at Ag Biotech Academy 2015 and received great reviews!

Students will make soy milk and ice cream in a bag and learn about molarity, molality, and freezing point depression and how different milks (from different sources) have different compositions. Included in the lesson is a cultural awareness research project. Students choose a country, research its agricultural practices and create a presentation, learning about food security.

Core disciplines involved are Science, Math, Social Studies and Language Arts.
