Ohio Food Industry Summit 2019

GNG partner CIFT, the Center for Innovative Food Technology, is sponsoring the 2019 Ohio Food Industry Summit in Columbus this month. Food manufacturers and auxiliary service providers will meet to discover new techniques, learn about industry trends, and identify resources to strengthen the industry of more than 1,000 food manufacturers in Ohio.

Topics will include product innovation, food trends, technology in the food industry, the integration of 3D printing to food products, tracing food items to their source, cybersecurity in the food industry, and current research.

18 high school and college students, representing The Ohio State University, Bluffton University, Global Stem Academy, and Western Reserve Local Schools, will attend the Food Industry Summit. JobsOhio is sponsoring their attendance in collaboration with CIFT so students can see paths in the food industry and network with food processors for potential job opportunities!

Students will be exposed to new technologies, market trends, product innovations, and much more from a panel of expert speakers. Rebecca Singer, CIFT President and CEO, said, “The overall goal is to build excitement and knowledge around what is taking place in the food industry and entice students to consider getting involved in some capacity.”
