Teacher leaders Courtney Bockbrader & Whitney Short recently presented to twelve Ohio State Agricultural Education student teachers at the Turf Grass Center at OSU. During the presentation, all pre-service teachers completed five labs, including practice micropipetting, chromatography, STEM, Strawberry DNA, and ice cream making. Science principles were taught, and all students learned about the need to integrate science into their future classrooms. The participants were also introduced to the curriculum available on the GrowNextGen website. Bockbrader and Short also talked with the student teachers about how to include labs in agricultural classes. There’s nothing like expert advice to help student teachers!
